Climbwired International Ltd has 2 additional product companies Xplore Scotland and Climbmedic, our business is owned and directed by Stuart and Janette Johnston along with a group of top drawer associate staff.
Stuart Johnston
Stuart began his career in the outdoors in 1987, he attained the highest Mountaineering qualification in the UK (Winter Mountaineering Climbing Instructor (WMCI) in 1993.
Stuart worked extensively in the North West Highlands, West Highlands and the Cairngorms and worked with the National Training Centre Glenmore Lodge from 1997 to 2002. He worked with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority for 3 years as a contract inspector.
Stuart is a qualified WEMT and joined WEMSI International teaching faculty in 2000, Today he continues to teach with this voluntary non for profit organisation.
Stuart has been a Mountain qualification provider with Mountain Training Scotland since 1998.
Stuart also volunteered with Scottish Mountain Rescue, he was national training officer for 7 years where he overseen the implementation of national training for all volunteer mountain rescue personnel.
He volunteered with Tayside MRT and served as team leader for 12 of his 27 year involvement, including Glenmore Lodge.
Stuart is co-author of the Mountain Skills Training Handbook and the Hillwalkers Guide to Mountaineering, he was an associate contributor to TRAIL magazine for many years.
Stuart works with the scientific community providing remote rope access and safety training to a wide range of organisations who's work is carried out across the world, saving wildlife and plant species.
In 2006 Stuart began designing and inspecting adventure parks fomalising his knowledge in rigging and structural engineering working alongside many experts within the high ropes industry, Today his knowledge and skills are extensive and he remains active in directing all aspects of his business.

Janette Johnston
Janette, began her career in music and property management and today she continues to work as a singer songwriter. However, her passion for the outdoors and business is very strong, she works at the core of the companies office administration as well as being an open water swimming coach and drone pilot.
Janette is a keen skier and kayaker too.
Her business management experience extends 30 years.
Janette is director of business administrations for Climbwired International Ltd.
